Before I left for work last Friday, I sent Henry the 'how I met your father' trivia, and I told him I will show him mine if he show me his.
On Saturday we invited Line's friend Jeremy to hang out with us. When Jeremy thought we were playing the traditional football, he said he can handle everyone but his only concern was big old daddy. I was never the athletic type. I just stayed in the sidelines on every game. Although I cheered on, I was never the cheerleader type thing as Line would say. The only time that I came close to being athletic is when I had to run every day for three miles for almost eight years - it was a must. I didn't have a clue how to play touch football. My daughter literally was rolling on the grass laughing at me because I started counting when I was supposed to hike the ball....whatever. So, I'm dumb.
We were going to grab something to eat and head out to Kennedy Park, but we decided to go to Costco and place the cake order for the bday boy this coming weekend. We goofed around and ate pizza at Henry's and Line’s fave place. It was chilly and almost sunset by the time we get to the park. We had a blast playing, laughing and being goofy.
On Sunday I voiced out my concerns about the months ahead of us will bring. My dear husband assured me plenty of his love and dedication to me and the kids, and how he fully supports whatever it is that I decide to do when we get to nc, and in the end he said 'soon we will be off to the Caribbean sipping mai-tai....' then I started to cry. I am so amazed how my husband is so in sync with what I am thinking. He amazes me at the same time frustrates me; why does it seems like he knows how I think, but sometimes makes the choices I wouldn't even think of making. I asked him why he said mai-tai, when he always makes me margaritas. He said 'it was a thought that just came'. I told him about my first entry to this site, and he laughed and made silly remarks about how 'he could read my mind' and how I am running out of things and ways to get mad at him. He reminded me that he doesn't tan; he burns.
Sunday evening, the kids finished their xmas list. While Henry made chili, and Line baked cookies, my little boy ran around the house in his 49ers football helmet on. Niners once again: losers, big time. It was a fun weekend altogether. :)

love of my life
I stole this trivia from Tin:
How I met your Father.
1. First Name.
2. How did you two meet?
3. Characteristics?
4. Your plan 20-30 years from now.
1. Frog prince named Henry. Growing up, I used to be called the female version of pig pen from Peanuts. The girls in school dreamed about meeting their prince charming. As I listened to the girls gush about their future princes, I wondered if there will ever be a prince for an ugly duckling like me. Twenty something years later, everyone grew up to be a swan and met up with their princes. I, the ugly duckling grew up to be just an ugly duck, read too many fairly tales, kissed couple of duds. Henry fortunately turned out to be the dude.....so far. Cool!
2. Lost in Transl1te-on. Eight years ago. A small low voltage lighting company ran by mom, pop, a dog, and an abandoned child named T.B. Right after completing my service contract, I was a newly single mother scraping to make ends meet, I interviewed for a CS job. Learning about what I did for my previous employment, the CSM was proud to tell me that their traffic manager used to be in the N@vy. I never really liked squids. The squids I knew in sc and delmar were unsats. The Filipino n@vies in the sick bay always ridiculed me for my choice of service, and all I can think of saying to them is 'just do your job, dork'. When I took the job at Transl1te, the CSM in numerous occasions talked about the former squid in their company. I wasn't really looking forward to meeting this character, and thank goodness he wasn't one of the Filipinos who teased me. Henry is tall, red head, eh - good looking. Still, I wasn't impressed after all he used to be a squid.
3. Characteristic: Goofy. He has a great sense of humor. He keeps me grounded.
4. 20-30 years from now: Send our kiddies to college. Sipping Mai-tai with Henry while he bakes his base tan on his boat named 'grateful debt'. Hopefully we hold on to our retirement fund and save some money to travel.
